We are talking about the Fastfood Weddings, particularly, McDonald’s. In 1999 a couple who love going to a weekly car show at Rock N’ Roll McDonalds. Got married in front of that McDonalds’ branch in the middle of the car show. Click the video below to see the ceremony.
In 2002, BBC featured a UK couple, Judy Foulkes and Andrew Smith who celebrated their wedding with a happy meal. The couple just wanted to have a cheerful and inexpensive wedding reception. Instead of paying out thousands of pounds the couple shelled out only £136.87 for 33 guests. That’s a tremendous wedding savings if you ask me.
There are other stories about these fastfood weddings, and McDonalds is not the only fastfood chain store entertaining wedding receptions. Some people find it sad, for people to marry in a fastfood chain. But isn’t it better to have an inexpensive wedding and have a long and fruitful marriage than having a grand reception and your marriage will only last for a couple of years? I don’t know about you, but I’ll choose the former.
