About Us
Welcome to PracticallyEverAfter.com (PEA… like the “Princess and the Pea”). PracticallyEverAfter was created by a group of friends who all got engaged around the same time and discovered how ridiculously expensive weddings can be. After a few months, the girls were all hanging out together along with their soon-to-be hubbies when a bit of an argument broke out. It seemed, while all the girls were lavishly spending to create the weddings of their dreams, the men in their lives were worried (and as a group, they felt more comfortable expressing their concerns than as individuals!).
After a good debate, it turned out none of the grooms were upset with the cost (they wanted their gals to have their perfect weddings), they were just worried about what all this early spending meant for their futures. “Why should we start our marriage in debt?” was the question of the evening. It also became the inspiration for this blog.
PEA.com is a website built by brides-to-be and grooms-to-be, and maintained by them as well, in order to help other engaged young couples have the wedding of their dreams without ruining their financial abilities to achieve future dreams. It’s the meaning behind our tagline: “Wedding savings for a happier ‘ever after’ “…
