Great wedding food idea, or best wedding food idea ever? As I was doing my morning rounds of the wedding news, I cam across an article about a couple hiring a Korean barbeque food truck to show up to their reception at midnight. YUM!!!!

Okay, to be fair, the idea of having food trucks show up at a wedding isn’t an entirely unique concept. I’ve been to more than one wedding where there was a snack truck waiting outside at the end of the wedding, and I’ve been to plenty more weddings where the hosts generously offer late-night revelers a wedding snack. But for anyone who has ever planned a wedding, you know just about every additional amenity you provide guests costs another few thousand dollars, so in terms of wedding savings advice and whether or not you should spend money on providing a late night snack, let’s take a look at the bigger picture.

While a reception snack will definitely cost you a few bucks, it does have some distinct benefits. First, it’ll make your guests happy. Most of the weddings I’ve been to where a snack was provided always leave a more pleasant memory. As the host, it’s a nice way of saying “I know you’re here celebrating with us to the early hours, so I just want to thank you again for coming out.” A late night snack can also be important if your friends are heavy drinkers. And if they are, you’ve probably already considered why… nothing helps keep a party with an open bar going like late night munchies to absorb some of the extra alcohol.

Beyond those two bonuses, I’d have to say I don’t see any other major benefit. Sure it’s nice to offer guests a little extra food, but do folks expect it? What do y’all think? Has anyone out there either thrown a wedding with a late night snack or been to one and want to share your thoughts?

How does premarital counseling relate to wedding savings you ask? Well, I made the connection when I received information about the marriage license process from our venue, and discovered that in our county and state, couples who undergo premarital counseling will pay less for their marriage license than those that do not. This might not be the case for you, but I think it’s worth looking into.

Yes, I do recognize that a premarital counseling course will cost you money. But, your wedding isn’t all about glitz and glamor, it’s also about committing yourself to one another. We’ve all heard the staggering statistics about divorce, and as expensive as your wedding might be, a divorce will cost you too (maybe even more). Why not take steps to make sure you have the foundation for a happy life? WedAlert.com has a breakdown of what premarital counseling means: here.

I was scanning wedding headlines today and I came across this little bit of wedding planning “novelty.” Apparently someone in Minneapolis got the “brilliant” idea that there’s a lot of wedding advice to be found online, and a lot of wedding resources as well. So she built a store where brides could go in and search all sorts of digital resources.

Umm… as someone who writes a digital wedding advice column, let me be the first to say: “Hey all you brides out there! You don’t have to do to a physical store to find digital resources with wedding ideas.” Surprising, right? You’d think so if someone is creating a store for it. But guess what… a few years back, mankind stumbled onto a cool little discovery called the “Internet.” And if you want to research things, you can just open a computer, go online, and research them without leaving your house.

I guess I’m probably preaching to the choir by pointing out here that the Internet is packed full of wedding advice websites like Practically Ever After, and you don’t need to go anywhere or (for the most part) pay anything to access them. But if someone wants to pay for the overhead of a store so people can access digital wedding advice, well, I guess, more power too them. I, on the other, hand, think I’ll stick with surfing the Internet from my couch when I want to do my wedding vendor research. It just seems more convenient (plus, I don’t have to leave my bath robe).

Maybe there was once a time when you thought that the life you are living was already perfect. Perfect in a sense that if it ever gets interrupted by an outside force your life would be ruined. But then, the thing you are most afraid of happened to be the best thing that ever happened in your life. The perfect world that you knew was nothing compared to what love can provide you.

Our wedding song for the week is a beautiful romantic song which tells about the bride’s experience when she met her groom-to-be. When he entered her life, her eyes saw the beauty that was hidden from her which she never thought existed.

“Until You Found Me” is a wedding song tailor fit to the bride who commissioned a brilliant song writer who composed this wedding song for her. Below is a video of the song complete with lyrics. If you are interested to also have your own wedding song customized for you, you can contact the guys from JGMastersMultiply.com.

Hello to all my beloved readers. This is your Wedding Diva, Richard with another fascinating wedding blog about wedding customs and traditions from around the world. And today I will feature wedding customs and traditions from Korea.

I’ve been to South Korea once to visit a friend based in that country. It was a wonderful experience to see that country and I enjoyed my stay there very much. The best thing about Korea, for me, is its food and customs and traditions. My friend told me a lot of things about their wedding traditions.

<script type="text/javascript"

According to my Korean friend, joining of a man and a woman through marriage actually represents joining of two families rather than the union of two individuals. Koreans have high respect for their lineage. In fact, family names are limited and there are only about 300 surnames in Korea. Korean families maintain careful records of their ancestry which are very important in school entrance, job applications and marriage. And if I remember it correctly, women don’t change their surnames after marriage.

Matchmakers also became a part of most of the weddings in Korea, at one time. Families would bring their children to the matchmaker with their resumes, and would request them to find a match for their beloved children that is compatible in terms of status and earning potential. Today, matchmakers are extinct like dinosaurs and some wedding arrangement are made through large online dating services like Duo.

Before weddings take place, a bride must go through a traditional pre-wedding introduction ceremony where she is accepted into the groom’s family. In the olden days the groom embarks on a journey to the house of his future bride’s abode on a white pony and presents to her family a pair of geese. Ducks and geese are known to mate for life, thus these fowls represents faithfulness. These days live geese have been replaced by wooden ones. Cranes are usually incorporated in the brides sash since they represent long life.

If tradition and customs are going to be followed, the bride would wear two dresses which are said to be from the noble class. They are the light green wonsam and an elaborate hwarrot or flower robe. Underneath, the bride wears a traditional robe. The bride also wears a black gem-studded cap on her head and she also wears white cotton socks with embroidered boat-shaped shoes made of silk. Her make-up is simple with three red nickel-sized circles to ward off evil spirits. The groom wears the dress of nobility as well, a jacket (chigori) and trousers (paji), and an overcoat (turumagi). It is made of dark green damask with embroidered auspicious symbols in gold and he also wears a tall black cap headdress made of silk (moja).

Wait for the second part of these wedding blog next week. Also wait for more wedding blogs about wedding savings and how to have inexpensive weddings next week. Again, this is your Wedding Diva wishing you all a great weekend. Enjoy planning your fabulous wedding. Toodles

Here’s another bizarre wedding story. A bride-to-be was happily preparing her upcoming wedding to the man of her dreams Until one day, she discovered her fiance’s secret life. Hello you fabulous people out there, this is your Wedding Diva with another wedding blog for you to enjoy.

Haylie Hocking, 27, a bride-to-be from Bristol, England, got the shock of her life when she discovered her fiance’s secret life. Miss Hocking’s Maid of Honour, Lisa Hoskins, searched the internet to find and hire a male stripper for the hen night (bachelorette party). They discovered that the dashing groom is actually a porn star and male stripper! The prospective groom admitted his secret double-life and Ms Hocking called the wedding off. To read more about the story just click this link.

It’s really sad when someone you love keeps secrets from you. It’s a good thing if you find out about it before the big day. What if you discover the secret after you get married? What would you do?

This is your Wedding Diva asking you to make sure your significant other is telling the truth or there are no skeletons in the closet yet to be discovered.
