Who says being a conservative Christian is boring? Not me. This is your Wedding Diva, happy to write another blog post for you again. And today I am featuring a unique wedding proposal.

Being a conservative Christian is not really boring. Actually, they are fun people. And to prove this, here’s a video about a Christian guy who went all out just to propose marriage to his girlfriend and make it an unforgettable marriage proposal.

He organized a weekend of hiking, canoeing, and more with 30 of their friends. In the video, it was a time for their bible reading. After he read the scriptures, the guy read the poem he made to her girlfriend in front of their friends. It was a lovely poem and I believe she won’t forget how he proposed marriage to her.

Click the video and listen to the lovely poem the young Christian guy wrote for his lovely wife to be. This is your Wedding Diva hoping all love is as pure and as romantic as the Christian guy’s love for his lucky girlfriend. Enjoy planning your wedding. Toodles!

Listen up, ladies. I had a lot of questions I received in my mail. No, it’s not about big wedding savings, but, rather, how to make your man pop the question. Some ladies who wrote in said they couldn’t wait anymore. They’ve been in their relationships for 3 years or more and they wanted their significant other to pop the big “Q” but they seemed to cower and crawl under a rock when it came to that. In short, they kept silent and avoided the subject.

I’m sure your significant other has probably been planning to do it for months, if not years, now. Maybe he’s just waiting for the right timing, or maybe he’s wracking his brain for a unique way to propose to you. Or worse, he’s afraid. Men are afraid of rejection. Any form of rejection, they hate. As humans, we are blanketed with a dark cloud of what we call False Evidence Appearing Real (F.E.A.R.). We think in advance on the outcome of what we plan to do. Unfortunately, we think of the most negative outcome, which leads to the abandonment of the execution of the plan. Instead, we end up thinking of ways how to evade the situation by simply procrastinating and hope the issue doesn’t come up soon – or ever!

Yes, men are fragile creatures. Methinks that’s the very reason why God created women. They need someone to guide them. So here’s what you can do if you can’t wait anymore for him to propose to you.

Talk About It. For sure, the two of you talk about the future you envision for yourselves. Like how many kids you want to raise; what place to live in; what kind of house you you want to purchase jointly, among tons other questions. If he is the kind of guy who is not afraid to talk about these things, you’re in luck. Because when the two of you get to have these conversations, then you’re likely to talk about the issue of marriage without any uneasiness from the other . Now, if somehow the opportunity to talk about it evades you both, control the conversation and subtly steer it in that direction.

Go Subliminal. Let’s say your guy loves you so much and you really feel his sincerity. Yet, he still keeps the ring somewhere in the depths of his sock drawer under lock and chains. He might be thinking that you might not be ready to dive into a serious relationship. If that is so, give him a hint. I’m not saying have a movie marathon of LOTR and hit the pause button everytime The Ring appears while munching on donuts and fruit loops. Or try seducing him with hula hoops while performing magic tricks with metal rings with Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” playing in the back ground. For sure he won’t put a ring on it if you do. Simply pop in a nice chick flick on the DVD player where the leading man romatically proposes to his leading lady. Cuddle with your guy and tell him how utterly mushy that part is and how much you love that scene. Then tell him that, unfortunately, that only happens in the movies. You’ll never know, he might get bitten by the romance bug and start proposing to you to show you that romance still exists!

Go Billy Joel on Him! Go and “Tell Him About It!” If you really can’t wait, go ahead and propose to your man yourself. But I suggest you do it without the ring. You can afford to remain old-fashioned and let HIM do that. Maybe you give him an empty box or something. Or ask him to take your hand and when he does, kneel down and say, “I love you and I want to marry you. If you want to marry me, then it’s time for you to put a ring on it!” If he says yes, go to the nearest jewelry store. Or else, have a laugh, and get him to present you a creative temporary IOU ring – the funnier the better! Don’t ever think that he’s going to say no, negative thinking attracts negative results. Have confidence in yourself.

So, if you think that it’s time for the two of you to be together forever, help your man propose to you, or just DIY! If all things goes well, the next thing you’re going to talk about is how to have a memorable, inexpensive wedding. And we can help you a lot on that respect.
