Blech! Yuck! Ugg! Barf! Hurl! Ick! And whatever other noise I can make that will help me belt these poor lungs out of my body that just had to endure air tainted by the very idea of such an atrocity. Yes, we all know Apple fanboys. And yes, we all know people who would rather lose an arm than an iPhone. But when it comes to good wedding theme ideas, this is one wedding blogger that has to draw the line somewhere, and that line stops about 50 iMiles away from the nearest couple that could possible decide it’s a good idea to get married… MARRIED!… at an Apple store with an Apple themed wedding.

I don’t hate Mac people. I’m even a little jealous sometimes. In fact, I’m going to a wedding two weeks from now where the bride and groom are surely going to incorporate some form of iTasticness into their ceremony. But an entire wedding with an Apply theme? Puh-lease.

You can read the story that caused this outrage here… but it’s really not worth your time. Or the irreparable damage you’ll do to your wedding psyche. Just don’t say you weren’t warned.

Like most days, I began this one with a search of the the local news in the world of weddings so I could find something fun to talk about in my daily wedding blog. When I came across this story from the Macon newspaper, it had a promising title: “Wedding was a ‘moving’ ceremony.” I thought to myself, “What… did these people decide when all their friends came into town for their wedding, they’d also ask them to help with a house move?” To be honest, having your friends who are already in town anyway help you move seems like pretty brilliant wedding advice. Maybe even the best wedding advice ever, now that I think about it. So I read the article.

It wasn’t at all about getting friends and family to visit you and then carry boxes, which was a bit disappointing. But my first bit of wedding advice today is going to be to consider it. I mean really… why not make your guests help you move? Most people move right around the time they get married, movers are expensive, and weddings are expensive. So the least your guests can do after giving them a $200 a plate meal is carry a couple of boxes and maybe a couch. Heh… if you get them drunk enough, they might not even mind too much (as long as you don’t mind your new hubby’s prized 52″ plasma getting broken… or rather, don’t mind that he minds).

Sadly, the article had nothing to do with getting your wedding guests to help with moving. Instead, it turned out to be rednecky wedding story from Macon, GA (hey… I’m originally from Georgia, so I’m allowed to make fun!). I almost stopped reading and went on to something else, but something about the story wouldn’t let me stop reading. And by the end, I was in tears. Tears! Over a newspaper story! I’m kind of ashamed of myself. Am I really so desperate to get married that I start bawling like three-year-old who just scraped her knee every time I read a slightly sappy wedding story?

Please… someone out there read this wedding story article and tell me if you were crying by the end. I’ve got to know whether or not I’m losing my sanity ASAP! Thanks.

Have you ever experienced attending a wedding and something really funny or outrageous happened? Well, I have. And I’m sure some of you have also experienced unexpected things which happened in a wedding you have attended.

It was the wedding of a good friend of mine and I was one of the bridesmaids. I overheard the best man talking about the groom’s ordeal. The best man said that the groom was awake the whole night because he was really nervous about his wedding. He couldn’t sleep. He kept on calling him, the best man, on the phone. The best man tried to convince the groom to rest, but his pleads fell on deaf ears. Desperate for a shut eye the best man gently hanged up and unplugged the wire of his phone while the groom was busy blabbering. The best man said he went back to sleep with a smile on his face.

When the wedding planner told us that the ceremony will start shortly, we all went to our places and got ready to march down the aisle. My friend the bride was really beautiful and the groom looked handsome as well, though, a little sluggish.

We were all seated and listening to the priest’s homily. As the priest was about to end his homily a loud strange sound suddenly caught our attention which kept us all really quiet. We all looked at each other searching for the location where the strange sound was coming from. It was like a growl of a menacing animal. We were all looking from left to right when we saw the bride giggling. She then burst out laughing while shaking the groom gently. Then we learned that the groom fell asleep and snoring out loud. The priest was also laughing with bride and jokingly said: “In Jesus name, I command thee to rise!” Then everybody started to guffaw.

That was really one hilarious wedding I have attended. Now, I will link you to a site where you can read more hilarious wedding stories from real people. They are not fabricated stories; they are contributions by random people who have witnessed funny things which happened in the wedding they have attended.

Just click the link and enjoy the stories. We’ll have more wedding blog posts about wedding savings and how to have inexpensive wedding for this week. Just keep on checking this site for new wedding blog posts. Have a great week and enjoy planning your wedding.

It’s the last day of the weekend and it’s time for another round of funny wedding jokes to make you smile. As you all know, our wedding blogs are not always serious. We also let our hair down once in awhile. So, I hope you will enjoy these wedding jokes as you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Uncle Knows Best

‘Congratulations my boy!’ said the groom’s uncle. ‘I’m sure you’ll look back and remember today as the happiest day of your life.’

‘But I’m not getting married until tomorrow.’ Protested his nephew.

”I know,’ replied the uncle, ‘that’s exactly what I mean.

Secret of a Happy Marriage

To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot, and not try to understand her at all.

The Shotgun Marriage

A couple goes out to dinner to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. On the way home, she notices a tear in his eye and asks if he’s getting sentimental because they’re celebrating 50 wonderful years together. He replies, ‘No, I was thinking about the time before our nuptuals. Your father threatened me with a shotgun and said he’d have me thrown in jail for 50 years if I didn’t marry you. Tomorrow I would’ve been a free man!’

I Believe In Miracles

A man, his wife and his mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land. While they were there, the mother-in-law passed away.
The undertaker told them, ‘You can have her shipped home for £5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for £150.’
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, ‘Why would you spend £5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to have her buried here and spend only £150?’
The man replied, ‘a man died here 2,000 years ago, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can’t take that chance.’

Momversations.com is a blog site for women, especially for moms. This is not a wedding blog site (so I guess you won’t find any wedding savings tips here or blogs about how to have an inexpensive wedding), but they do talk about weddings, married life, and parenting. In this particular webisode, the moms of Momversations.com talked about their own funny wedding day stories. Click the videos and have fun listening to their wedding day tales.
